Currently training with Johansson and his other coach, the tennis star has gradually improved in the last few weeks - peaking in a hard-fought competitive win over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's maiden title after the Rome competition and initial on a hard court after spring of that year.

"This title is in tribute of my second daughter Victoria, because the first title I achieved when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his previous six title deciders, comprising in the German tournament in the past months.
The player's retrieving approach and recurring reactions on the playing surface had led commentators to question if his ability to perform at the elite level was over.
But the athlete has altered his approach in the last few weeks, attempting to approach the net and play aggressively, backed up by an enhanced serve.
Medvedev fought back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult Frenchman, securing four of the concluding five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The pair traded break points in the following set before Moutet, attempting for his initial professional title, took control to push for a final set.
Moutet saved four initial break points in a close final set before the champion secured a break to 15 to secure the win.
Suitably, he clinched victory with a rally at the front of the court, with the Frenchman failing to handle a shot after a lengthy match.
